"In 2006, Mom and I did a road trip around England which focused on areas where her father had lived as a boy. We found the green hills and dales of Yorkshire to be dreamlike in their boundless terrain. This walk through the heather in the North York moors was such a joyful climax of our trip that I had to attempt to capture the feeling in paint."
